What is an Apostille?

An Apostille is a document issued that verifies the authenticity of the signature on the document; the capacity in which the person signing the document acted; and the identity of any stamp or seal affixed to the document. The Apostille is a specific form of authentication for countries that participate in the Hague Convention of 1961.

What is a Certification of Appointment?

A Certification of Appointment certifies that the individual who performed the notarization was appointed to a Notary Public commission at the time of notarization and is a qualified Notary Public in the State of Massachusetts.

How long will the process take?

Once we receive your document(s), certification by The Massachusetts Secretary of State is done same day, or next business day. Certified document(s) are shipped back to you the same day the document is certified.

Do you offer express shipping

Yes, express domestic and international shipping is available from, FedEx. In step 3 select the appropriate service.

What do I need to check before I send my documents for authentication?

For birth, marriage, divorce, or other state or local government issued certificates, request for a certified copy. For other personal, or business documents check:

1. That the Notary Public has signed his/her name exactly as he/she was commissioned.

2. That the notarial certificate has been completed. It should start "On this day YOUR NAME appeared before me..."

3. That the Notary Public’s expiration date is on the document correctly, clearly and completely.

4. The Notary Public has affixed the notary seal on the document and the imprint is legible

Where can I get a certified copy of birth/marriage/death certificate? Get Vital Record

We offer regular, and rush next-business-day service for vital records. We will help you obtain birth, marriage, and death certificates. Please note some records are restricted and are unavailable. If you also need an apostille, we will get it done for you. You may also get these records from the Office of Vital Records, or your local city or town clerk where the event was recorded. Be sure to request for a certified copy.

Where can I get a copy of my divorce decree?

Contact the district court clerk in the district where your divorce decree was filed, and request for a certified copy.

How do I pay?

Fastest way to pay is with a credit card in step three above, or include a check or money order made out to AccuVerify with your document(s).

What is the cost for the Service?

The cost is $110 for each signature to be certified. If express shipping, or local delivery is requested additional fees apply.

Do you offer pick-up and delivery of documents?

Yes, within 20 miles of Boston, MA.

Do you offer regularly scheduled services?
